Being You

I was watching Dancing with the Stars last nite and saw Neicy Nash in her skimpy outfit and shaking what the good lord gave her and I was so impressed. Although the other two dancers are slim, Neicy was confident being out there with the same outfit and she looked great.

So from this day forward, I will no longer complain about my thighs, my butt or my abs. I am going to appreciate what I have to work with and keep working it. I am going to tell myself that I look good in my clothes and even better out of them. And I am going to love the skin I am in. So thank you Ms. Nash for a mcuh need wake up call.

Some Of My Favorite Things

There are many things that I enjoy. Like the prettiest smile I get from my Baby K or the fact that me and daughter are close to being the same size. I know as life goes on and we are so busy with the day in and the day out, that we forget the things, rather small or even smaller that sometimes fall by the wayside. So I want to share some my favorites things with you and please take a moment to share yours with me.

When I am stressed and I know we have all been there...we tend to forget to stop the listen to the inner voice that tells us that no matter what is happening in over lives, we are in good hands and the little things, some of our favorite things can pull us through.

Introducing Shakeology

On April 12th, I will start a 3 day cleanse dring shakeology 3 times a day and a salad in the evenings. I have tried many cleansing products - The Master Cleanse, QT, Total Lean and countless others. Since this is what I plan to promote as a Beachbody coach I am hoping to see some good results even after the I finish the cleanse. I have 30 days to see if the product does what it sounds it should do.

With cleaning eating, working out and 2 shakes a day, I want lose about 5 lbs and a few inches off my lower body( not spot reducing - just focus). I will be report back in after day 3 with my results.

As of today I weight 126 lb, 26 in waist and 33 in thighs.

I'm Back

It has been some time since I have blog. Few things have change. New job, one less friend, a new grandbaby and a long distance relationship. But the one thing that hasn't change is my commitment to fitness.

I have started a new journey as a Beachbody coach. I don't know how successful I will be but I am going to give it my best shot. 24 Hours In A Day

Do you ever think that there isn't enough time in the day to get every thing done? Why does it seem that some people have no problem accomplishing everything that they set out to do in a day? We all have the same 24 hours available to us.

It's time to determine what's important and what can wait until another time. Most of us work and some of us work long hours, but its all about balance. Deciding what you day will consist of is like packing for a trip; you need a variety of items in order to have a successful trip. The same applies to your life.

You need time for work, family, friends, community and fitness. With 24 hours available to you every day, there no reason why you can't fit every thing that's important to you into your day and still have time for U.

Make the effort...it will be with it on the long run.

TGIF

Happy Friday too all my fellow bloggers and those lurking in the shadows. It's the weekend and it's time to kick back and relax. But don't forget to get at least one workout over the weekend. I am a firm believer in taking rest days, but IMO, taking 3 consective days off isn't productive.

I know you are ready to get your groove on, however take at least 30 minutes to workout , even if it just doing stretches or yoga. This will give you energy to drop it like its hot.

So remember to party like a rock star, but don't forget to work your body as well.

Summer Workouts

Summer is finally here and a lot of us are head to the outdoors for fitness. So here are a few tips to keep your work out safe and injury free.

1. Be mindful of the temps in your area.
2. Stay hydrated....limit the protein drinks
3. Don't over exert yourself
4. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes
5. Use sunscreen, something to keep the bugs away and a hat.
6. When using your MP3 player or IPODs, make sure you can hear your surroudings
7. Share the roads
